BBC Northern Ireland called upon young adult audiences to consider ‘your present has a past’ as it launched The Troubles at 50, a compilation of programmes and documentaries covering key events and themes of Northern Irish history.
The campaign used fragmented visuals of archive photography and video which focus on the human side of the conflict, reinforced with poignant and thought-provoking messaging. The visual style reflects an understanding of the polarising and sensitive nature of the subject matter within Northern Ireland.
